Aparna Chivukula, who was one of the winners of the 2023 TOTO for Creative Writing in English, has also been awarded the Toto-Sangam Residency Fellowship for 2023. Congratulations, Aparna!
During the two-week residency, Aparna expects to develop the first draft of a chapbook of poems that builds “on a body of work that explores familial relationships and family histories using largely first-person narratives” but “shifts this exploration to a more externalised space, using the practice, problems, and process of language acquisition”.
